Donald Delali “Lali“ Darke is a young vibrant musician in Ghana. He is a student pursuing BBA(Marketing) in one of the best universities in Ghana, KNUST to be precise. Lali has built a good profile as a young and growing recording artist.
Lali started music in the year 2015. He entered Black Pyramid Studios, a music studio located back then in Kaneshie. That was his first time in a studio. He recorded his first demo titled “Party”, which he featured an artist called Kido.
Lali loved to compose in the Twi language since he was inspired by Sarkodie to start music. He switched to compose in English, after the release of E.L’s Bar II mixtape released in 2015. That also served as his second source of inspiration. Lali began to diversify by singing in his mother tongue, GA.
He swept 3 musical awards during his high school days at the Accra Academy. He’s currently focusing on the Afrobeats genre and also doing rap music occasionally. He has a brand called “LOTO“, which stands for “Lali On This One“. He won the Rap League competition hosted by YFM, Kumasi, from round one to the final round, which was four.
Lali has some released singles such as Mind Games, Wavy, Brotherzone, rent-free etc. He has other projects like “The Lali’s Voice Series” which apparently has 5 episodes. Official music videos of some singles are also out on YouTube.
